AidLab ("we", "us", "our") provides laboratory management software used by medical laboratories to book visits, run tests, record results, and communicate with patients. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using AidLab you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — your name, username, phone number, and the password you set when a login account is created for you.
• Contact & profile information — name, phone, address, gender, and date of birth held for patients, staff, and referral partners.
• Health & laboratory information — the tests ordered on a visit, the results and their values, reference ranges, interpretations, and any report PDFs generated for you.
• Billing information — invoices raised for a visit, amounts, and payment status.
• Technical information — device and log data (e.g., access times) needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account and lab visits;
• perform the tests you requested and deliver your results and invoices;
• notify you about your visit, results, and account (e.g., in-app or messaging links);
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
• comply with legal, accounting, and medical record-keeping obligations.

3. Legal Basis

We process your personal and health data to provide the laboratory service you or your provider requested, with your consent, and to meet our legal obligations. Health data is treated as sensitive and handled with additional care.

4. How We Share Information

• Your care team — laboratory staff and the referring provider involved in your visit.
• Service providers — vetted processors that host our systems and store files (for example, cloud file/CDN storage for result and invoice PDFs), acting on our instructions.
• Legal — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Data Security

We apply administrative and technical safeguards — access controls tied to staff roles, encrypted transport, and tenant isolation so each laboratory only sees its own data. Credentials are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it.

6. Data Retention

We retain visit, result, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for medical record-keeping and legal/accounting obligations, after which the data is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask questions about how it is used. Some records (such as medical results and invoices) may be retained where the law requires it.

8. Children's Privacy

AidLab is used to record laboratory services that may include minors, ordered and managed by an authorized guardian or provider. We handle any such data with the same care described in this policy and do not create independent accounts for children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
